A woman in her forties has been airlifted to the Launceston General Hospital after a serious crash on Flinders Island.
Just after midnight last night, the woman was riding a quad bike with a pillion passenger, when she lost control on Edens Road.

The quad bike rolled and the woman was seriously injured, the passenger was not harmed.
The Royal Flying Doctor Service flew the woman out with chest injuries, she is in a serious but stable condition.
The driver and passenger were not wearing helmets.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are now underway.
