Young scientists to entertain and educate

Some of Tasmania’s brightest young minds will embark on a journey next week to entertain schools and public audiences with a variety of seafaring, space-aged, and even stinky science presentations.

The Young Tassie Scientists programme will see 38 graduate student researchers from the University of Tasmania visiting more than 100 schools around the state as part of the award-winning science outreach programme, which has been running for the past 22 years.

In addition to the school visits, participants will also entertain and educate public audiences at five events around the state, including three in the North-West and West Coast.

The team will be in action at a family day at Hive, at Ulverstone on August 10th, at the Circular Head Science Big Gig at Smithton on August 12th, and at the Queenstown Library on August 19th
