NSW police memorial desecrated in Sydney

The NSW Police Force Wall of Remembrance in the Domain in central Sydney has been desecrated for the second time in six months.

A ranger on Wednesday afternoon found 15 panels had been damaged with scratches over the NSW Police Crest and panels containing the names of deceased police officers.

"This memorial is a sacred place for all NSW police officers and the families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice whilst serving the people of this state," Superintendent David Donohue said.

"Police will review CCTV footage and investigations will continue until those responsible are caught."
