SA drivers caught on drugs amid school run

Several South Australians have been caught with methylamphetamine in their system while doing the school run.

More than 1600 drivers were breath tested for alcohol and 180 for drugs near schools on Monday and while nobody tested positive for alcohol, seven people returned positive readings for methylamphetamine, police say.

Five of those drivers were doing the school drop off or pick up, including a 27-year-old man in Adelaide's south stopped with two kids in the car on the way to school.
