Drought Contitions force Farmers to de-stock

Lack of feed for some Tasmanian farmers is leaving them with no option but to de-stock.

Today in Oatlands, there's a sale of 20 thousand lambs and sheep, where some are destined to head to interstate buyers.

Phil Brazendale from Roberts Livestock says for those without irrigation, the big dry is really starting to bite.

"Central Tasmania is most affected, we are having the sale around Oatlands today within a radius of 20 to 40 kilometers, its probably the worst we have seen it at this time of year."
