Big boats for Burnie

Burnie's had a taste of the sort of jumbo cruise ships it can expect in the future, having hosted the Norwegian Jewel.

At 294 metres and carrying around 3500 passengers, it's the largest cruise ship to ever call into the city.

Burnie Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Ian Jones told WIN Television what it means for local businesses.

"The cafes do very well out of it as do some of the souvenir people, we've got so many different attractions and tourists get spread all over the region."
