A two-year-old is recovering in the Royal Hobart Hospital after a car flipped early this morning in Hobart's north.
Police allege the child's mother was driving when they tried to intercept the vehicle on Tolosa Street in Glenorchy just after 2am.
Officers say the car slowed and then accelerated away a number of times, before crashing into a power pole and rolling over on Jameson Street, cutting power to homes in the suburb.
The toddler has only suffered minor injuries, while the woman sustained a broken sternum and a man injured his shoulder.
Stolen property was allegedly retrieved from the vehicle.
