More funding will be rolled out to four northern Tasmanian organisations to support participants of the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
Federal Member for Bass Bridget Archer says the initiative will go a long way towards equipping local organisations with the tools and capabilities needed to deliver support to NDIS participants.
“This funding can be used for tailored business advice, software upgrades and other one-on-one supports that will help local businesses to get NDIS-ready,” Mrs Archer said.
Launceston's Health Mind Centre and VFC Services are among the recipients of $61,000.
The objective of the Transition Assistance Funding is to help providers transition to the NDIS while also creating more jobs in the disability sector, particularly in regional, rural and remote areas across Australia.
