The NWFL has been granted level three status from the Tasmanian Department of Health for this Saturday's grand finals at Latrobe, which will allow for a crowd of up to 5000 spectators.

Spectators will be required to wear masks, but NWFL president Andrew Richardson says patrons at the preliminary final at Latrobe at the weekend, which was capped at a crowd of 2000, had no issue with complying.

Richardson says allowing a crowd of up to 5000 also averted a plan to play the under 18 grand final on Friday night, allowing all three games to be played together on Saturday.
