Waterfront park starting to take shape

Living City waterfront

The second stage of Devonport's Living City project is starting to take shape on the banks of the Mersey River.

Devonport Mayor Annette Rockliff says much of the $15 million waterfront park is expected to be completed by Christmas.

A large number of trees have been planted and work is continuing and seeding and growing grassed areas.

The parkland will be opened in stages over coming months, while construction on the waterfront hotel and elevated walkway will continue beyond Christmas.
