The game was released on the 10th of February and quickly became Steam’s second most played game in a 24 hour period, with around 800,00 players jumping on, only beaten by PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS with a 24 hour peak of over 1,300,000 players.

Hogwarts Legacy also clocked up 1.28 million hours watched on Twitch, according to Forbes, which makes it the most watched single player game over on the platform.

It still remains unknown how many people played the game on platforms including Xbox and PlayStation, but the game had topped the sales charts with experts expecting at least 10 million copies sold over it’s launch weekend.
