Miles Morales and his fellow spidermen and women have passed Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight and are now the highest rated comic book movie of all time on IMDB.
The Dark Knight previously held the all time record with a rating of 9 out of 10 but since Across the Spider-Verse release, fans and critics alike have been raving about the film and has received an overall rating of 9.1 out of a possible 10.
And for those avid comic book movie aficionados, Avengers Endgame comes in at third place, with a rating of 8.4.
The 9.1 that the movie has received leaves the movie currently at number 4 all time on IMDB, only behind The Godfather, Shawshank Redemption and Martin Scorsese’s upcoming film Killers of the Flower Moon.
The list does come down to fan and critic reviews so that list could change at anytime.
To add some more good news for Spider-verse fans, Marvel producer Amy Pascal confirmed to Variety that a live-action adaption of Miles Morales is in the works.
“Are we going to make another movie? Of course, we are,” Pascal told Variety.
“We’re in the process, but the writers strike, nobody is working during the strike. We’re all being supporters and whenever they get themselves together, we’ll get started.”
Producers also confirmed that a Spider-Woman movie is also in the works.
Marvel producer Avi Arad dropped a major hint for fans, saying that she’ll swing into theatres “sooner than you expect”.
“I cannot tell you yet, but it’s coming,” Avi said.
So keep those eyes pealed Spidey fans, because there’s plenty to look forward to.
