The North-West Thunder has announced Sam Armstrong will coach the team for the 2024 NBL-1 basketball season.
Armstrong is a former coach of the club and has been assistant coach to Nick Haywood for the past three years.
Haywood left the Thunder at the end of the season this year to further his teaching career overseas.

Thunder chairman James Leslie says Armstrong has an intimate knowledge of Tasmanian basketball and the passion to lead the club and develop the amazing pool of local talent.
Leslie says Armstrong is committed to on court success through recruiting great players who fit the Thunder culture, but also fostering the skills of local players to take them to the next level.
