Extensive damage to buildings worth around $400,000 was inflicted by a deliberately lit fire last night (Friday) in Hobart’s Risdon Vale in Gardenia Road.
A 54 year old Risdon Vale man has been charged with arson and attempting to lit a fire elsewhere in the area.
The man is known to those in the homes involved in what is described as a targeted attack.

Bail has been refused by police and the man has been held in custody for a court appearance later today.
