Another Coastal builder has gone out of business, leaving a number of family home projects unfinished.
Spreyton-based Dillon Building and Construction has gone out of business after the Supreme Court of Tasmania ruled the company insolvent.
Dillon’s website lists homes in Burnie, Ulverstone, Devonport, Penguin and Port Sorell and Spreyton areas among recent completed projects.
It’s believed the company’s debts are around $2 million.
It’s website is still functional, but the company’s Facebook page has been taken down.
Dillon is the second Coastal building company to leave multiple clients in the lurch in the past 12 months with un-finished projects after Devonport-based Golden Homes went bust in September last year.
It’s not an issue restricted to the North-West Coast, with the Hobart franchise of G J Gardner Homes closing earlier this year, following on from both Southern company Multi-Res and Launceston-based builder Energy Street.
