Hobart dad is Tasmania’s newest millionaire

A Hobart man has had the ultimate Father’s Day, winning a $2 million TattsLotto cash prize.

The stunned Tasmanian held one of the 10 division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4291, each division one winning entry scored $2 million.

The dad was enjoying Father’s Day at home when an official from The Lott made contact yesterday.

“Oh Jesus! Oh god!” he exclaimed.

The Tasmanian revealed he’s been playing the same numbers for decades, and can’t even remember why he chose those numbers.

“I’ll help my children first, and then after that, I don’t really know. Maybe some holidays around Australia.”

The man’s winning marked 12-game entry was purchased at Sorell Lucky Agency, 31 Gordon Street, Sorell.

Sorell Lucky Agency manager Debbie O’Shea said she was celebrating her outlet selling a division one winning ticket.

“To think we had made someone a multi-millionaire overnight!” she exclaimed.
