The State Government has announced 12 new trainee GPs have been recruited for Tasmania.
Health Minister Guy Barnett says there’ll be five in the north, three in the north west and four in the south.
Two of the new North-West GPs will be stationed at Wynyard and one at Ulverstone.

Mr Barnett says the recruitments will go some way towards addressing the critical shortage of GPs in rural and regional Tasmania.
