The east and the south of Tasmania are heading towards a drenching tomorrow.

A low pressure system is carrying around 30 to 50 millimetres of rain for many locations and even more could be recorded in higher areas.

Belinda House from the Bureau of Meteorology sees the potential for some water catchments to spill over.

“The focus of the heaviest rainfall will be around the southeast, with catchments already relatively wet, rivers are likely to be responsive to any amount of rainfall and a flood watch has been issued for parts of eastern and southern Tasmania, minor flooding is expected in the flood watch area with the chance of isolated moderate flooding.”
