A high number of car thefts on Hobart’s Eastern Shore in recent times is being investigated by Tasmania Police.
Three cars were pinched from the one Victoria Esplanade address in Bellerive this morning (Friday), the home’s door being forced open and the keys taken.
The stolen cars include a Mercedes 205 C Class which was recovered this morning (Friday).

Police are still looking for the other vehicles, a grey 2014 Volkswagen Polo Hatch (registration D37YO) and a white 2020 Mercedes X Class Dual Cab Utility (registration J93EG) which was fitted with an aftermarket James Baroud rooftop tent.
Other suburbs where cars have been stolen in numbers in March are Howrah, Rokeby and Oakdowns.
