Dark Mofo’s Winter Feast is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, with a record number of food and beverage vendors announced.
The inaugural Feast launched with 25 stallholders and hosted 24,000 hungry patrons. In 2023, the Feast will present 90 stallholders, with many favourites rerutning including Bruny Island Cheese and Beer Co., Flamecake, Lady Hester, La Sardina Loca, Mount Gnomon Farm, Pacha Mama, Palawa Kipli, Willie Smith’s, and Mona’s Heavy Metal Kitchen, among many others.
Newcomers for this year’s festivities include Baked Snow, Migrant Resource Centre, Overland Brewery, Queen Sheba, Shari, and Waffle Day.
“As we celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the Winter Feast, we are thrilled to welcome a record-breaking number of stallholders joining in the revelry this June,” curator Amanda Vallis said.
“This milestone not only signifies a decade of immersive culinary experiences but also showcases the enduring allure and growth of this extraordinary event. The Winter Feast has become a vibrant tapestry of flavours, cultures, and community, weaving together a diverse array of artisans, chefs, and creatives. It’s a testament to the power of food and shared experiences to transcend boundaries and ignite the collective spirit of celebration.”
Winter Feast will run Thursday 8–Sunday 11 June and Thursday 15–Sunday 18 June at Princes Wharf 1.
